Common Terms (status) Used During Recruitment Processes..

• NEW: This status indicates an applicant has successfully applied for an opening or successfully completed an application.

• SCREENED: This shows that an applicant is deemed “Unqualified” for a role or position applied for.

• UNDER REVIEW: Once an applicant is listed by a recruitment team, the application is moved to ‘Under Review’ status for review and feedback.

• INVITED TO INTERVIEW: This is the stage at which an applicant is invited for an interview. The recruitment team can schedule interview events via email or phone or through a recruitment system.

• ON HOLD: This status indicates that an application has been put on hold, thus letting the applicant know.

• INTERVIEWED: The recruitment team will move an applicant to this status, once the applicant has been interviewed.

• UNDER OFFER: Recruitment team often use this status when making an offer to an applicant after a successful interview.

• HIRED: An application is moved to ‘Hired’ status, once the applicant has accepted the offer. In other words, the applicant gets hired.

• REJECTED: This means an application is unsuccessful during listing or interviewing, thus a ‘Rejected’ status.

• INCOMPLETE: This status shows that an applicant has not successfully completed his or her application.
